About MBC

At Moundsville Baptist Church, we desire to know Jesus and make Him known to one another, to the Ohio Valley, and to the world. We believe Jesus Christ is the center and goal of all human history, of every person! We believe what we do because this is what the Bible tells us is the truth. We want this to be the place where anyone that desires to know Jesus and rest in Him will be welcomed.

Our Core Beliefs

The Word of God

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and is the only guide to faith and practice.

The Trinity

We believe in One God, eternally existing in Three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Deity of Christ

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His Virgin Birth and Sin-less life.

Death of Christ

We believe that Christ died for our sins, arose from the dead and is coming again.

All Have Sinned

We believe that all people are sinners and apart from Christ are presently and eternally lost.

By Grace Alone

We believe that salvation and eternal life are by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ who has conquered sin & death.

The Gospel

We believe the Gospel of the grace and glory of Jesus Christ is the central message of Scripture and, therefore, the church.

We believe in a constant, living, evangelistic and missionary program conducted in Christian love.
